The Mazda RX-7 is a sport car made by the Japanese automaker Mazda. It was produced from 1978 to 2002. The original RX-7 featured a 1146 cc twin-rotor rotary engine and a sporty rear-wheel layout. The RX-7 was a direct replacement for the RX-3 (both were sold in Japan as the Savanna) and subsequently replaced all other Mazda rotary cars with the exception of the Cosmo.
Here is a Tomica version of the third generation of RX-7 which were released in 1993 and ended its production in 2002. This model of RX-7 in particular has made a big impression on the automotive industry at that time and also won alot of awards and achievement during its era.
The car also has been featured in various movies and video clips in Hollywood and perhaps will be remembered the most when its featured in Fast & Furious franchise.
