I just love Super GT cars.. it's fast, it's beautifully crafted machine and heck, chick digs these machines! Just look at those Japanese gridline girls! They're sizzling hot! One of the car that participating the race is none other than Yellow Hat Tomica GTR. This baby is in 1/43 scale from Ebbro. nicely detailed I must say.

IT IS A LARGE TRUCK (LIGHTER AND SLIGHTLY SLIMMER THAN THE H1 VERSION), WHILE SLIGHTLY LONGER AND SLIGHTLY TALLER) WITH ROOM FOR SIX PASSENGERS (INCLUDING DRIVER). THE REARMOST PART OF THE H2 SUV WAS MODIFIED TO A PICKUP TRUCK BED FOR THE 2005 H2 SPORT UTILITY TRUCK.

A pimped out version of H2 from Maisto. Note the big rims and chrome parts all over and very striking paint job.

Tomica came with openable parts. A favourite among diecast makers.

Majorette made it with two colours. Very nicely painted rear signals, and also with spare wheels.

All these makers have different level of details. Note the “hummer” wording at the rear bumper. Overall, for me, I like the Tomica version. Not many will agree with me, but with suspensions, neatly painted lamps and openable parts, compared with the other entry level diecast, it is the most true to its 1:1 brother.

Made its first appearance during the TV series on the year 1966. During the earlier version of the bike, they used a Harley, but then changed into a Yamaha. (perhaps cost?) The bike did manage to get into the 1966 film.

Super GT - Triple A Gallardo RG3

The Gallardo is Lamborghini's most-produced model to date, with over 5000 built in its first three years of production. Each car costs about $180,000 to $210,000. The car is named after a famous breed of fighting bull. The Spanish word gallardo translates into "gallant," and from Italian into "striking".

The SUPER GT car had to conform to rather different regulations. It could produce no more than 300PS (295 bhp/224 kW) and must be Rear-Wheel-Drive. The power is limited by air restrictors placed in the engine bay. The gearbox is a sequential 6-Speed twin-clutch setup. The rules regarding aerodynamics are far looser than those in FIA GT, meaning the SUPER GT car has more advanced aero, including a much bigger rear wing. Greenlight - Ford Taurus SHO

The Ford Taurus SHO (Super High Output) is a full-size performance sedan trim level on theFord Taurus that was originally produced by the Ford Motor Company from 1989 until 1999, and returned in 2009 for the 2010 model year.

Visually, the differences from the regular Taurus are subtle. It is encompassed by a dark grey grille finish that matches the larger wheels, a decklid spoiler, dual chrome exhaust tips, new parking lamp bevels, an EcoBoost rear logo, and an SHO C-Pillar logo- taken from wikipedia.

Overall, this casting from Greenlight is very accurate to the 1:1 scale.

Hot Wheels - Ferrari FXX

The Ferrari FXX supercar is manufactured in Italy, along with all other Ferrari's, and was under production by the end of 2005. This sports car is a great display of new car technology, which includes innovations from Ferrari, along with other companies that have continuously contracted parts in association with the Ferrari brand. The Enzo is the supercar that the FXX is based on, but there are specific functions found on the FXX, that are not found on the Enzo, which makes the FXX a complete car of it's own accord. The engine, and other standard operating systems for the car, are modeled after the Enzo as well, but have been modified to accommodate differing fuel standards, and other technological restrictions.

The FXX boasts a very low gear shifting time (under 100 ms), which is essential for a sports car of this high magnitude. The brake pads have also been tweaked in order to create a safer atmosphere for the driver, while still making the car just as superficially viable as its predecessor. The tires are another feature that are highly touted as an individual characteristic of the car, and are custom made only for the Ferrari FXX, not for any other vehicle. Like the Enzo, the features of the Ferrari FXX's interior are custom made for the user, which means that every driver is measured specifically measured for the car upon purchase.

The Ferrari FXX is definitely a supercar that cannot be mass-produced, mainly due to production costs, but also due to the fact that only a select few are willing to purchase such an exotic car due to the extensively high $ 1,773,000 / 1,500,000 euro price. Thus only 29 units of this sports car were built. The Ferrari FXX computer technology held inside the car also makes for a great driving experience, and tells the driver how their technique can be improved to assist their ability to function along with the car.

Here's something to remember FXX by.. Driven by my favourite driver and alongside him is one of my football idol, Zinedine Zidane! Enjoy!

Carisma - Mitsu Lancer Evo VI "zero fighter"

This is a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI "zero fighter" version made by Carisma. The Zero Fighter is a very rare production car made by Mitsubishi and its rumoured that there is not more than 100 units ever produced by Mitsubishi. The modifications to the standard Evo (Zeros are supposed to be based on RS but many later cars are based on the GSR. The name "Zero Fighter" to pay its homage to the magnificent AM6 Zero fighter plane that been used by Japan during WWII, which is made by yours truly Mitsubishi. Beautifully crafted by Carisma, this diecast is a must for all those Lancers diehard fans.

The Toyota Supra is a sports car/grand tourer that was produced by Toyota Motor Company from 1979 to 2002. Matchbox - Real Working Rig

Many collectors know Matchbox toys. Known for its beautiful and detailed cars, it is also very reasonable priced and currently owned by Mattel Inc. Many collectors collect cars from its main line, but not many collectors I know collect from Real Working Rig line of toys. Myself also do not collect all of them, but I am interested in this particular model that is the Western Star 6900XD. With its 141 "BBC and engine choices up to 625 hp, the Western Star 6900 XD can tow over 100 tons!

Tomica Regular - Yellow Hat GT-R

This is a Nissan Yellow Hat GTR, 1 of the team competing in the Super GT series. Tomica released a couple of diecast for this particular team. One is for the regular Tomica series and the other one is for the Tomica Limited series. For the Tomica Limited series, the car used is a Toyota Supra, and released way back several years ago. I still searching for the Tomica Limited Yellow Hat, and for the time being, I just have to satisfied with the regular Tomica No 50, Nissan GTR Yellow Hat.

Judging from its look, the quality is quite good. Loving the yellow colour scheme..

Altogether, the Supra has taken the title four times in 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2005. Despite being out of production since 2002, factory teams continued to use JZA80 Supras with continues successes. Majorette - Subaru Impreza

For this time, once again I will post one of my favourite car, Subaru Impreza but this one is from Majorette. Compared with the Tomica Limited version, it is very beautiful in terms of tempo and logos used on the car and if this diecast was fitted with rubber tires, I'm sure its going to be a very hard to find item!

Siku - Smart4two

The Smart Fortwo is a rear-engined two-seater car manufactured by Smart GmbH. Smart Fortwo also has been used by German enforcement agencies such as Police Dept, and also the Fire Dept for patrolling works.

Siku, a well known diecast manufacturer also from Germany has produced Smart Fortwo identical to the vehicles used by their agencies. Amazing details has been put into it and I for one certainly fell in love with it!

what amazing bout siku is they put in some sort of "biodata" of the model, such as height and max speed!

"Not many of us knows that Honda NSX came from the acronym of New Sportscar eXperimental. This car is a continuation of the project between Honda and Italian car designer Pininfarina in year 1984. It was produced between 1990 and 2005 by Honda.

After studying their main competitors such as Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche, Honda engineers designed the NSX in search of the perfect balance between usable power and reliability and thus produced a powerful naturally aspirated VTEC engine suitable for the extreme demands of both road and track.

Honda's breakthrough engineering in the NSX was a major contributor to the design of the McLaren F1 as mentioned in an interview with McLaren F1 designer Gordon Murray (translated from original Japanese into English). "The moment I drove the NSX, all the benchmark cars—Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini—I had been using as references in the development of my car vanished from my mind. I like Subaru because of this model, the Subaru Impreza. taken from the Italian word, means impressive, the car is very successful, especially in rally competitions. This car was also driven by the late Colin McRae, the late Richard Burns and Petter Solberg. The car is so synonym with the color blue metallic body color, and gold rims and many Subaru car owner would try to make their cars looks like the WRC version.

Jada - Battle Machine!

In 2009, Jada has introduced its latest series that is the Battle Machine. For the first series, they released 6 types of cars which each cars came in 2 variations. I am a big fan of Mustangs and variations made for the cars are very interesting. One a a regular metallic coloured car, and while another one is a police car. Although not many people interested in these cars, I feel it is distinguished because it is an interesting variation from other cars that I have.
Battle Machine series for this car is a car-like from the movie Death Race, in which each of them has their own special weapons. the car would look like from the era where speed is everything and weapons to survive, and if I were in that kinda situation, I don't mind having a kick ass car like this!

Tomica Limited - Group C Cars

Group C Racing

"Group C was the Sports Prototype class introduced in 1982 along with Group A and Group B for production cars. The series ran in varying forms from 1982 until 1993, when a change of engine regulations killed it as a viable form of racing.

Until the introduction of the 3.5 litre class, Group C was a 'fuel consumption' series. Essentially, anything went in terms of engines, provided you could get them to run through a race on a limited amount of fuel. This allowed production engines like the Aston and Mercedes V8s and Jaguar V12s to compete head to head with Mazda's rotary engines and Ford's Cosworth V8s. Some criticised the formula, saying that cars had to hold back early on or back off late in the race, but it produced a great variety of solutions, attracted many manufacturers and provided some great racing.

Every generation of race fan will have their own idea of the 'golden era' of racing, but for me, the 1980s are going to take a lot of beating. We had the sight and sound of Jaguar racing against Mercedes against Porsche and the massed ranks of the Japanese manufacturers (notably Mazda, Nissan and Toyota), with supporting roles played by Aston Martin, Spice, Ecurie Ecosse and many others.

Group C started, as so many good sportscar racing ideas do, at Le Mans. In 1978 Renault had won with a Group 6 (open 2 seater) sportscars, but to aid aerodynamics they'd fitted a bubble top, with just a small slit in front (for visibility) and a hole in the top (to ensure the car remained 'open' and complied with the rules). This was possibly the catalyst for the GT prototype class which started at Le Mans. "

A remake of the 1932 classic, the 1983 version follows cuban refugee, Tony Montana and his close friend Manny Ray, and together they build a strong drug empire in Miami. Of course Montana must deal with the hardships of this type of business. And as Montana's power begins to grow so does his ego and his paranoia. To many thugs wannabes, Scarface is a role model to them. For me, its a sheer joy of seeing Al Pacino in one of his best works ever. In 2006, Jada produced a limited edition 1963 Cadillac Series 62. Comes in several scale, this has been a really nice casting. It comes in a box, which also have a couple of miniatures including a tiger and the Scarface himself. It is nicely done, the tiger skin pattern as the seat cover does added the extra touch to the gangster feel. Truly a nice gangster ride.

I am very amazed with cars from the sport of drifting. This is because the cars are very colorful and filled with tempos from their sponsors. It can be said that there is no space wasted!
Not many know that the Hot Works Racing Factory have released car 1:64 scale for D1 Professional Drift series. This is one of the available model produced, "Top Secret D1 S15 Silvia 2004". What is interesting about this series is the front wheels can be adjusted!

Chevrolet Camaro is the answer to the Mustang car that dominated the 60s automobile industries. This car also has undergone various phases where each generation which replaces the previous model has been improved and designed to meet current target market.
We now know the Camaro as "Bumblebee" in the film "Transformers". Camaro also somewhat synonymous with the yellow color due to the influence of the film.
This time I want to introduce Chevy Camaro Jada version. Similar to the models in the film "Transformers", it is in yellow. It is a set of two car models that Camaro Chevy Camaro '81 and '06 model Chevy Camaro Concept issued in 2007 as a set of 2 cars.
It also launched the same year in which the film "Transformers" was published. Jada probably take into account factors such film to popularize its products? No matter what the reason, it is effective and I am for one had been a fan of this American-made car!

55 Chevy Panel - Hot Wheels

This is a 55 Chevy Panel from the 2010 Rides Delivery Slick series. I am not too very fond of this casting, but when I noticed the details in this model, I'm beginning to like it!
Hot Wheels really did their quality control this time with this one! This car is quite heavy because of the metal base and the bike that inside the car. Two thumb up for this car!

Note the words "Goodyear" on all tires, blue metallic body and bike in the car.

On December 10, 2004, while the series had been mainly focused on Japanese domestic teams, sponsors and fans, with an ever-rising international fan following and TV coverage shown all over the world it was announced that JGTC would now be called Super GT with the goals of "challenge to the world", "challenge from the world", and "challenge to entertainment".

The cars are divided into two groups: GT500 and GT300 (cars with no more than 500 and 300 horsepower (374 and 224 kW), respectively). These power outputs are capped via the use of intake restrictors although some heavier cars are given allowances to run larger restrictors to maintain parity." quoted from wikipedia.

Did you know that the cars are divided into two categories, GT500 and GT300, and the both GT500 and GT300 groups are run at the same time? But the points are awarded separately for each group. The reason behind it is to maximize excitement for the fans.

GT500 is dominated by mostly top japanese car makers such as Toyota, Nissan and Honda. European car makers such as Ferrari and Aston Martin are also trying to test theirs cars against their japanese counterparts.

Tamiya, in conjuction with the Japan GT Championship, released JGTC diecast for the 2003 championship.

It may looks very fictional, but it is actually powered by Merc Cruiser Chevrolet V-6 engines which allows Batboat to achieve the speed up to 45 miles per hour. The interior had many props and gadgets over the stern drive, and they also constructed a fake jet nozzle and water squirter to give the appearance of a nuclear boat motor.

Hot Wheels is one of the licensees to produce Batman's vehicles and they also have released a model to commemorate the 1966 model Batboat. Why 1966? This is because in 1966, a Batman film has been published and this model used by Batman in the film.

note to myself: never put diecast boat into the water.. It will sink!

Pontiac Funny Car - Hotwheels

This is among one of the Hot Wheels cars that I loved most in my car collection. It is a Pontiac Funny Car from 100% Hot Wheels produced in 2002. According to its size, it is longer than any regular diecast produced by Hot Wheels. Blue and white paint job and the "Hot Wheels" as the tempo and not forgetting the "Moon Eyes" logo in front of the car, making this car very attractive.

The first funny cars were built in the mid-'60s and so-called because the rear wheels had been moved forward on the chassis to improve weight transfer under acceleration, increasing traction on the rear tires, which were Oversized compared to stock. Looking at the cars, they did not quite look stock, hence the name "funny."

I can not explain how, but when I saw this car in sealed steel plate with a name tag, I became interested and bought it without thinking twice. Shown in this blog is the second car. I am a big fan of diecast of 1 / 64 scales, regardless of manufacturer. I do not stay in one type of producer, because I like varieties in my collection. Have you ever heard of Racing Champions? I only have the Fast & Furious series from Racing Champions. The cars are very similar to the car used in the movie the first F & F. however, I only have 4 cars which is Toyota Supra and Honda Civic. anyone can help me get the remaining models?

I like the cars produced by Tomica, which they emphasized on product quality, whether its 1 / 64 scale, or mini-sized car that they produce which is Yujin Tomica. Though it is not made of diecast, it is very detailed. I really like it because that the level of details they put into one small car is very high until its also appears similar as in 1 / 64 scale model.
This time I will introduce Yujin Tomica cars in the form of capsules. They introduced the car in the form of mini-DM series which I feel is very similar to car-sized DM Tomica 1 / 64. There are 5 types of models produced from the model DM-11 up to DM-15.

I can not remember when last I write on my blog I am. I hope this year I will write more about my diecast collection.
For the first post this year, I will introduce a collection of Tomica sets which is "The Toyota Set". It contains 3 cars in the form of colorless. Two of these cars using rubber tires just like the Tomica Limited Series. This is a must product for all car enthusiasts and fans of Toyota and Tomica toy car.

wow... i just noticed that i haven't updated my blog for quite some time.. a lot of things has happened since my last entry in my blog. my collections of diecast cars also has increased and still increasing.. and the biggest news off all is my wife's already give birth to my sweet little girl.. i will post her pictures later..

back in KL again

tomorrow i'll be in KL back... sigh... back to work as usual.. luckily for me, i'm still on holiday. tomorrow i'll be posting some of my tomicas collection that i have. Not much, but still it's my collection. just started collecting from end of August 2008. last time around 2003, i've been collecting Matchbox diecast and a little small portion of HW. Then I stopped collecting any kind of cars. Until recently, when somebody stole my beloved TL Evo IV, I started searching for Tomicas again. Went through the Toys Section in MV and my long lost love for diecast models started again. I saw one cabinet full of white and red boxes and I started collecting diecast again... humm.. but again, its very hard for me to find the replacement for my beloved Evo... huhuu.. all that has left is just the metal plate on my desk... what to do.. now have to wait for the new TL#99.. (hopefully I can get my hands on the car!)
